With the purpose to stimulate the enrollment of adolescents and young in the combat to the Aedes “mosquito” aegypti, the Cioeste developed the campaign #StrikeAedes – carried through it enters the months of December of 2016 and April of 2017 – from a gamification strategy, that consists of the dynamic use of games to stimulate the learning and to motivate attitudes it are of the context of the games.
Successful, the initiative almost reached 500 a thousand people from its digital canals, beyond being also spread out by means of action in leases, as visits the municipal schools and ONGs of the cities that integrate the Cioeste. For its reach and socioambiental relevance, the campaign was enrolled in the awarding “Momentum For Change 2017“, whose registrations had been opened by the secretariat of United Nations on Climatic Changes in the January month. It would honor it recognizes activities and innovative projects of the entire world, that are examples talked back on what the people are making to deal with the climatic changes.
The initiative of the Cioeste concurs in the category “Planetary Health”, data that present a possibility of solution of low cost – come back to the awareness of the population – for a problem that reaches diverse underdeveloped countries: tropical illnesses transmitted by vectors as the Aedes aegypti.
The Advisory Panel of the awarding “Momentum Will be Change” will go to select the winning projects in this month. However, the public announcement of the chosen teams happens only in September.
After that, in the November month, the victorious people will be celebrated during a series of special events, in the Conference of United Nations on Climatic Changes, to be carried through in the city of Bonn, in Germany.
The possibility to be between the enrolled ones that they concur for the awarding illustrates the application potential, in different cities and regions, of the model developed for the campaign of the Cioeste.
the main tool of the initiative was a game for smartphones and tablets, that it consisted of a quiz with related questions the different fields of the knowledge.
To each reply that made right, the players pontuavam, being that the questions that were valid more points they were related to the Aedes “mosquito” aegypti, transmitter of illnesses as affection, zika, chikungunya e, in urban areas, yellow fever.
With one ranking weekly, the initiative granted – with t-shirts and ingressions to go to the cinema, for example – the players that more were distinguished in the trick throughout the week, since that was living of the cities that are part of the Cioeste.
Beyond widely being divulged in the digital ways, the campaign also was spread out in schools, institutions and in the Campus Party Brazil 2017, that it happened in the city of São Paulo enters the months of January and February. As result, the game #StrikeAedes had 2 almost a thousand downloads, and had champions in almost all the cities that integrate the Cioeste (Barueri, Carapicuíba, Cotia, Itapevi, Jandira, Osasco, Pirapora do Bom Jesus and Santana de Parnaíba).
